Mexico Dive Retreat 

Are you ready to explore the beauty of Mexico?

Day 1-3

Day 1 - Arrive in Merida either by flight or bus from Cancun/Tulum, check in at the villa, and meet the crew! We will have a welcome dinner fun evening activities ready for you, including our first lesson in breath hold and equalization for those interested or new to free diving.

Day 2 - Breakfast and an initial time to share more about how our first experience in the Cenote will be, after which we will head to our first Cenote and spend the day diving. We will have lunch provided at the Cenote, and after our day concludes head back to Merida for dinner and time at the villa. After dinner we will have a breath work and stretching session to learn more how these impact our diving and how to tune into your body's cues as you get more comfortable in the water.

Day 3 - We will start the day with breakfast at the Villa and then head to our Cenote for the day. Lunch today will be at a local Mayan families home, one I can assure you is exactly what you want to eat after a day in the water. This sweet family has a close relationship with Francesca and Alberto and it is a treat for us to have lunch here. Our evening will be back in Merida for dinner, and time at the villa to rest and chat about underwater photography, modeling, and any other questions that you have! We are genuinely excited to share what we love in a place we love, and allow you to fall in love with it as well.

Day 4-6

Day 4 - We will start the day with breakfast, and then head to another stunning Cenote, after diving we will have lunch in Merida, and then head back to the villa for Freedive theory and photography time to again have open Q & A and some hands on learning time for those interested. Our evening will be dinner in Merida and time to enjoy the eveing out on the town for those that want to.

Day 5 -  A little more chill this morning as we head out after breakfast to visit Chitchen Itza. This historical Mayan site and explore the area. We will ahve lunch in Izamal, and then head back to Merida for an evening of hanging and fun at the villa and around Merida.

Day 6 -  After breakfast and loading up in the van, we will say goodbye to Merida as we head to the day's Cenote. After a day being back in the water, and a nice lunch, we will head to the town of Valladolid and check in to our new Villa. We will have dinner in town and a time to hang, chat, edit, or whatever you like as we settle in for the evening.

Day 7-8

Day 7 - After breakfast we will head to our final Cenote, and one of our favorites, when the sunlight is on, this place is truly another planet. We will have a day of fun day in Cenote Chukum, and we will be there to continue to support you, teach you, capture photos of you, or model for you if you like. Our last evening will be a night out in Valladolid for a lovely dinner, there will be time to hangout, explore the town, or relax at the villa and again, ask away in any way we can share with you.

Day 8 - Our final morning we will have breakfast at the villa for you, and time to get ready as we say our goodbyes. Check out will be by 11 am and we will be happy to help arrange any transport to the bus or airport from the villa for you.

  • Flights and Transfer to Mexico (unless you upgraded to include this in your package)

When is it - The trip will be in October 24-31 of 2025

Who is this trip for?  -If you are a diver wanting to up your certification, if you are new to freediving and want to learn, if you are a creative wanting to add underwater work to your portfolio or improve your underwater skills with other creatives, if you are an underwater model or want to improve your underwater modeling skills, or if you just love adventures and good people!

If you are a fun and adventurous human looking to have the experience of a lifetime with other amazing humans; then this is for you!

What do I need to do?  - Head to the registration form and grab your spot! Once you're accepted in you will receive all the info you need to book your flight, and be added to the team for the pre trip connect and Q & A call. 

What should I pack?  - Once you are booked in, your pre trip packet will include a complete packing list of recommendations, what entry and visa requirements are needed.

How many spots are available ?  - This trip is limited and curated to insure that our group gets the most personalized attention from the instructors; as a result we are only accepting 10 applicants to join this trip

Can I bring a friend?  - Yes! Come solo, bring a friend, bring your partner, or anyone else!

  • Lianna has been in business for over 11 years, and has found a balance in using her creative passion, business expertise, and heart for humanity to authentically tell stories, create responsible media, and support her fellow creatives as they establish and scale their own business’s. As a travel curator, creator coach, photographer, podcaster, and free dive instructor, Lianna’s focus remains human connection. She deeply values the impact and power we have when we are able to see the world through another’s eyes; and continues to create pieces and projects that are centered on the impact we have in knowing the value in humanity.

    She has had a deep love for the water since she was young and for her, peace is most present in the silence of freediving and creating art underwater.

  • ⁠Hola! I’m Alberto, one half of the passionate duo behind Alma Libre. I was raised in the beautiful Yucatán, where my love for exploration and adventure began. Growing up, I spent countless hours discovering the hidden gems of this region, specially cenotes.

    Freediving has always been more than just a sport to me; it’s a way to connect deeply with nature and find inner peace. It makes me so happy to be able to share this passion and knowledge as a freediving instructor with other adventurers and beautiful souls.

  • Ciao! I am Francesca, a traveler and adventure lover from Italy. As far as I remember, I have always loved traveling and exploring new places. While for many the unknown can be terrifying, for me it’s something I chase and look for with my travels. I love not knowing what’s coming and see what happens.

    No need to say I am incredibly happy with where life took me: living in Mexico and building my dream life with the man I love by my side. I could never imagine that one day I would turn my passions into my job and I couldn’t be more excited to share them with you!
